Wapda City has issued a notice warning the public of an illegal marketing campaign using its name and logo. Wapda Employees Cooperative Housing Society (WECHS) Limited, Faisalabad warned that a marketing company, without the permission of the society, used its name and logo in a marketing campaign that is completely illegal.
The notice also points out that without the approval of relevant departments and the housing society itself, booking of installment plots is illegal. WECHS has no relation to this marketing campaign whatsoever.
According to sources, the marketing campaign had claimed that the society has released 5-marla and 1-kanal plot files, which are available for sale on a two-year payment plan in Wapda City Phase II. Phase II had been launched in 2013 for its employees in Faisalabad. Wapda City is, reportedly, in the process of land acquisition for 250 acres of land, out of which 60 acres have been acquired.
