A new chairman for Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been selected, a news source reported. Chief Commissioner Islamabad Amer Ali Ahmed has formally assumed his additional duties as Chairman CDA.
The notification granting the additional charge came from the Establishment Division on Thursday. Ahmed is a BS-20 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Group (PAG). He has previously performed duties as Member Administration CDA and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad. Prior to becoming Chief Commissioner Islamabad, he also served as Director General Immigration and Passport.
As per his new duties, Ahmed will be responsible for improving the efficiency of CDA operations and performing a constructive role in Islamabad’s development. His appointment will also encourage improved coordination between CDA and the Islamabad administration – with regard to the city’s ongoing anti-encroachment drive.
